Role Overview
Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a Workforce Management Enhancement initiative within a leading global Financial Services organisation. The project sits within a broader Cyber Security portfolio of work; however, this is not a directly technical Cyber Security role. The focus will be on delivering improvements to workforce management capabilities, coordinating activity across multiple stakeholders and ensuring the project progresses successfully from planning through to implementation. The successful candidate will be a confident and self-sufficient Project Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of delivery, working independently and operating across a complex stakeholder environment. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement will be particularly important, with the Project Manager responsible for bringing together different teams, maintaining delivery momentum and providing clear visibility of progress, risks and key decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of the Workforce Management Enhancement project.
- Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, timelines and key deliverables.
- Coordinate activities across multiple business and technology stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against agreed plans and proactively address potential delivery challenges.
- Ensure clear ownership and accountability for actions and deliverables.
- Drive the project forward independently with minimal day-to-day oversight.
- Maintain focus on agreed outcomes, timelines and delivery priorities.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Act as a central point of coordination between business, technology and programme teams.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops and delivery discussions.
- Ensure stakeholders have clear visibility of priorities, responsibilities and upcoming milestones.
- Manage differing stakeholder priorities and drive alignment where required.
- Communicate complex project information in a clear, concise and practical manner.
- Establish and maintain appropriate project governance and delivery controls.
- Maintain RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
- Produce regular project status reporting for programme leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Track actions, decisions and dependencies through to completion.
- Identify potential risks or blockers early and coordinate appropriate mitigation.
- Escalate material concerns in a timely and structured manner.
- Ensure project documentation remains accurate and up to date throughout delivery.
- Support the definition of current-state and future-state workforce management processes and capabilities.
- Coordinate business and technology activities required to deliver agreed enhancements.
- Support implementation planning, business readiness and transition activities.
- Work with impacted teams to understand dependencies and implementation requirements.
- Ensure changes are effectively communicated and embedded across relevant stakeholder groups.
- Support the transition of delivered capabilities into Business-as-Usual operations.
- Work effectively within the governance and delivery structure of a broader Cyber Security portfolio.
- Coordinate with other Project Managers, Programme Managers and portfolio stakeholders where dependencies exist.
- Ensure the Workforce Management initiative remains aligned with wider portfolio objectives and timelines.
- Support portfolio-level reporting and governance requirements where required.
