Job summary

TGS International Group is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale Data Centre and fibre infrastructure projects across live facilities. You will manage high-value programs, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain client relationships.

This hands-on role covers planning, budgeting, risk, safety and change control, with travel across the UK, Europe and USA. A strong background in hyperscale data centre environments and driving performance is essential.

An established provider of fibre optic, structured cabling and critical infrastructure solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale Data Centre and Hyperscale infrastructure projects.

This is a senior, client-facing delivery role with responsibility for managing complex projects from initial handover and planning through to delivery, commercial close-out and client handover.

You will manage high-value fibre and connectivity projects within hyperscale and enterprise environments, working across live data centre facilities and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.

This is a hands-on Project Manager position suited to someone comfortable operating in fast-paced, mission-critical environments. You will be responsible for project performance across programme, cost, quality, risk and safety, while maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale Data Centre and fibre infrastructure projects.
• Manage projects from sales handover and mobilisation through to delivery, commercial close-out and client sign-off.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, delivery strategies, resource plans and risk registers.
• Deliver large-scale fibre infrastructure supporting spine-leaf network architectures, including high-count backbone and connectivity deployments.
• Monitor project performance across programme, cost, quality, risk and client requirements.
• Coordinate multiple teams, including shift-based and 24/7 operations where required.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with contractual obligations, SLAs and project requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hyperscale, enterprise and critical infrastructure clients.
• Lead project meetings, governance reviews and service reviews.
• Provide clear and accurate updates on project progress, risks, constraints and required actions.
• Work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Take responsibility for project budgets, cost control and commercial performance.
• Manage forecasting, resource utilisation and project expenditure.
• Support and manage project P&L and margin performance.
• Oversee change control and ensure commercial risks and opportunities are managed effectively.
• Support accurate invoicing, revenue forecasting and commercial close-out.

Operational & Resource Management

• Lead and coordinate installation engineers, service teams, subcontractors and third-party suppliers.
• Manage resource planning across multiple project activities and locations.
• Ensure projects meet required quality, security, uptime and compliance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and operational performance.
• Support the management and resolution of issues within live and fast-paced delivery environments.

Risk, Safety & Compliance

• Identify and manage project risks, particularly those associated with high-density deployments, complex cable routing and live Data Centre environments.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and project requirements.
• Oversee the preparation and implementation of RAMS.
• Promote a strong safety-first culture across project teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure project activities are delivered in accordance with client, regulatory and environmental requirements.

Pre-Sales & Technical Support

• Work with sales and technical teams to support project proposals and solution development.
• Provide project delivery input during pre-sales and technical workshops.
• Ensure proposed solutions are practical, scalable and commercially deliverable.
• Support technical discussions relating to fibre infrastructure, structured cabling and Data Centre connectivity.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience as a Project Manager within Data Centres, fibre infrastructure, structured cabling or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale, high-value projects for enterprise, mission-critical or hyperscale clients.
• Strong understanding of Data Centre infrastructure, including fibre, copper, structured cabling and connectivity.
• Experience managing complex project lifecycles from planning and mobilisation through to delivery and handover.
• Strong commercial experience, including budgets, forecasting, cost control and project P&L.
• Proven experience managing project teams, subcontractors and third-party suppliers.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience working within high-pressure, SLA-driven or mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of project risk management, change control and project governance.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in relevant project management tools and methodologies.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK, Europe and the USA.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Experience delivering projects within Hyperscale Data Centre environments.
• Understanding of spine-leaf network architectures.
• Exposure to GPU, AI or high-performance computing infrastructure.
• Experience managing high-density rack deployments and complex fibre infrastructure.
• IOSH or other relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• First Aid certification.
