BMD & Co Ltd in County Cork, Ireland, is seeking a Project Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support to the construction team. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee mechanical works to meet project specs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include ensuring safety, managing RFIs, coordinating with workshops, preparing scope and subcontract specs, and liaising with clients and subcontractors.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word and Excel.
• Proficient in Navis Works or equivalent.
• MSIC certification is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as mechanical or project engineer.
• Experience in process industry piping fabrication, installation and testing.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safety compliance with site safety requirements and RAMS/Method Statements.
• Resolve RFIs in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with workshops on prefabrication and manage test requirements and documentation.
• Prepare scope documentation and subcontracts specifications for painting, scaffolding, insulation, and HVAC.
• Plan material deliveries and manage site requisitions.
• Attend client, subcontractor and internal meetings.
• Monitor site resources and inductions; administer records.
• Review designs for constructability and raise RFIs as needed.
• Plan and perform site surveys and resolve construction activities with foreman.
• Control hours, price small works, and manage site variations.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors on cost management and progress reports.
• Inspect works for safety, specs, and design compliance.
• Prepare test documentation per quality plans.
• Assist Construction Manager with status reporting.
• Maintain project data on systems and portals.
• Plan handover packages and ensure QA/QC alignment.
• Prepare snag lists and monitor resolution.
• Report monthly EHS statistics.
• Inspect subcontractor work scope and finalize acceptance with customers.
• Prepare technical documents for subcontracted works.
• Adhere to project quality plans and internal standards.
