Job summary

EDC Engineering Design Consultants LTD. is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead MEP design across projects and mentor engineers. The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical systems, building services, and regulatory standards, with BIM coordination and cross-discipline collaboration central to delivery.

You will work in a hybrid model with some site visits and client meetings, and contribute to sustainable, high-performance buildings across our Ireland network.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years Building Services consultancy design experience.
• Expert user of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with thermal modelling and energy assessment is advantageous.
• Chartership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and electrical project delivery across all stages.
• Mentor engineers and lead design teams to ensure quality.
• Coordinate with BIM and modelling teams for 3D deliverables.
• Drive cost control, scheduling, and client communications.
• Attend design reviews, workshops, and site visits.
