Job summary

Pure Renewables is seeking a Project Engineer based in Drogheda, Ireland to support project development and our sales engineering team with technical design and evaluation of commercial & industrial heat pump projects.

You will prepare project layouts, analyze data, estimate energy production, and conduct site visits to ensure quality and alignment with designs, while coordinating with Project Management and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience on large-scale construction projects, ideally in renewables.
• Ability to gather information and form independent conclusions.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-evolving team and industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual project layouts using CAD or similar software; optimize layouts for value.
• Analyze data to assess resource requirements and project values.
• Estimate annual energy production and build high-level energy models.
• Conduct site visits to assess suitability and participate in stakeholder meetings.
• Follow post-sale site visits to ensure works align with design.
• Assist in preparing project sales proposals and interface with PM, Engineering and Operations.
• Maintain QMS integrity during changes and ensure OH&S/environmental reporting impact.

Overview of role and level of responsibility

As Project Engineer you will work as part of the local Pure Renewables Commercial Ireland team performing engineering activities to support project development and our sales engineering team with the technical design and evaluation of commercial & industrial heat pump projects.

Specific tasks and deliverables

• Prepare conceptual project layouts using relevant software e.g. CAD. Optimize layouts to maximize project value.
• Analyse appropriate data to assess project resource requirements and projected values.
• Estimate project annual energy production and build high level energy models
• Conduct site visits to assess site suitability, participate in stakeholder meetings prior to sales being agreed
• Conduct site visits post sale to ensure works are completed accurately and correctly inline with agreed desgin
• Support the preparation of project sales proposals
• Interface with the Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams leading up to and through project commercial operations
• Ensures that the integrity of the QMS is maintained when changes are planned and implemented.
• Awareness of OH&S, environmental reporting information and its impact upon the project.

Key skills and experiences

• BSc in Engineering or related subject, 2:1 minimum
• Proven experience of working on large scale construction projects, ideally within the renewable sector
• Ability to gather information and form conclusions and opinions on your own
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in fast evolving team and industry.
