Cork, Carlow or Dublin are potential locations, with travel to site visits expected. The successful candidate will drive design and delivery, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients and sub-consultants to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status.
• Minimum 8 years' post-graduate experience for Senior or 12 years for Principal.
• Experience delivering renewable energy infrastructure in Ireland or the UK.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the required quality standards and within budget.
• Supervise, mentor and support the development of senior and junior engineers.
• Prepare civil engineering designs, technical reports and tender documentation for renewable energy projects.
• Plan and manage design activities in collaboration with engineering discipline leads and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance systems, management procedures and relevant health and safety legislation.
• Coordinate project activities with colleagues across the Sustainable Infrastructure team.
• Liaise with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants throughout project delivery.

The Opportunity

An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer with a focus on renewable energy projects to join its growing Sustainable Infrastructure team.

The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy developments, including wind farms, solar farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Projects will involve a range of consultancy services, including design, independent checking, design-and-build and Owner's Engineer roles.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden technical expertise, take on project leadership responsibilities and contribute to the delivery of sustainable infrastructure, with a clear career progression pathway towards Associate and Director-level positions.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Flexible, proactive and collaborative, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
