Job summary

INFORM3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for Mayo-based renewable energy projects. The role involves civil works delivery, coordinating construction activities and liaising with subcontractors to meet programme, safety, and quality targets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in civil/project engineer roles, with a background in building, commercial or fit-out projects. Office-based work in Mayo with potential exposure to the West of Ireland energy sector.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry.
• Experience delivering building and fit out projects.
• Experience on industrial, commercial, energy, utilities or infrastructure projects desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in the delivery of civil works on a major renewable energy project.
• Coordinate construction activities and ensure works are completed in line with programme requirements.
• Manage technical queries and liaise with subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Review drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Assist with setting out, surveying and quality control of works.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate project records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Assist with inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Prepare reports and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines including civil, structural and M&E teams.

INFORM3 RECRUITMENT Project Engineer Job Location: Mayo (office based) Sector: Civil INFORM3 are recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join renewable energy projects in the Mayo/Galway region. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer with 5+ years experience, including a strong background in building projects and fit out, to apply their technical and project delivery skills within a large-scale energy development. The successful candidate will support the delivery of civil works, working closely with the Project Manager, engineering team, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure the project is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This role would suit an experienced Project Engineer from a building, commercial or fit out background looking to move into the renewable energy sector and work on significant infrastructure projects in the West of Ireland.

Project Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Good knowledge of quality control, documentation and project reporting
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
