Job summary

Inform3 Recruitment is seeking a Junior Site Engineer to join the site team in the Mid-West Ireland, working on solar farm, substations, and infrastructure projects. You will assist with setting out, surveying, reviewing drawings, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining quality records while supporting the Site Manager and senior engineers.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 0–2 years site experience, strong communication, and a willingness to develop in the civil engineering

Responsibilities

Inform3 are recruiting for a well-established civil engineering and construction contractor based in the Mid-West, with a strong track record delivering civil and infrastructure projects. The company has an expanding portfolio of renewable energy and utilities projects and is looking to strengthen its engineering team for a number of upcoming solar farm and substation projects.

The Role

We are seeking a Junior Site Engineer to join the site team and gain valuable experience working on large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

Junior Site Engineer Responsibilities:

• Assisting with setting out and surveying.
• Working from construction drawings and specifications.
• Assisting with the supervision and coordination of subcontractors.
• Checking levels, dimensions and tolerances.
• Carrying out quality checks and maintaining site records.
• Supporting the Site Manager and Senior Engineers with daily site activities.
• Monitoring progress and assisting with site planning.
• Liaising with subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standards.

Junior Site Engineer Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 0-2 years' relevant site experience.
• Basic understanding of setting out and construction drawings.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full driving licence advantageous.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the civil engineering sector.

Solar, substation, utilities, roads or general civil engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
