Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants in Galway is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with 7+ years' post-graduate experience to lead civil and infrastructure projects in the Galway office, spanning renewables, water, energy and utilities within a multidisciplinary team.

Take project leadership from concept to completion, manage planning applications and Building Regulations compliance, mentor junior engineers and drive delivery.

Qualifications

Honours degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
7+ years post-graduate experience in civil engineering design.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status desirable but not essential.
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations and local authority planning standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
Full clean driving licence and own transport required.
Fluent written and spoken English essential.

Responsibilities

Take project lead responsibility for the design and contract management from concept to completion.
Manage statutory compliance processes including planning applications, fire certificates, DAC applications and IPC licences.
Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and Irish standards.
Lead the civil design of projects and mentor junior engineers.
Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring delivery and professional development.

Senior Civil Engineer Galway Senior Civil Engineer with 7+ years experience required to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in their Galway office. Our client is a Civil and Structural consultancy with over 200 staff and offices across Ireland and England. They have a strong 70-year track record of delivering complex engineering projects across renewables, infrastructure, water, energy and utilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and take a lead role on high-value, technically challenging projects in the Civil sector. Projects: Renewable Energy Solar, Hydro and Wind Data Centres Substations Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Industrial Buildings and Utilities Commercial and Residential Projects

Role
