Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Ireland is seeking a Project Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team in Galway.

You will manage the financials for a portfolio of projects through their life cycle, ensuring correct setup, invoicing and close-out in line with contractual requirements and Stantec’s policies. Working with Project Managers and Finance colleagues, you will provide financial insight on project performance, revenue and cost recognition, WIP and accounts receivable, while

Qualifications

• A proven level of project accounting knowledge gained through relevant experience and/or education.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A customer service focus and ability to build effective working relationships.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an assigned portfolio of projects, ensuring accurate setup, financial transactions, budgets, billing rates and revenue recognition in line with Stantec policies.
• Monitor project financial performance, including EACs, revenue and cost recognition, WIP, credit risk and project integrity.
• Coordinate the preparation and issue of client invoices, support accounts receivable and collections.
• Provide financial support on subcontractor tracking, progress reporting and ad hoc project finance requirements.
• Ensure effective project administration throughout the lifecycle including budget changes and close-out.
