Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking a Programme Lead to manage a team and oversee before/after school clubs across partner schools. You will lead daily activities, ensure safety and engagement for children, and communicate with families to support meaningful after-school programs.

Ideal candidates will have experience with school-aged children, a childcare qualification, and proficiency with common software. A valid car is required for site travel; Garda vetting and references are arranged after

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year)
• Childcare qualification (Fetac Level 5 or equivalent)
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Garda vetting is essential (completed after interview)
• Two written references required before starting

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a programme team.
• Maintain day-to-day activities of the programme.
• Interact with children, families and staff daily.
• Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm when working with children.
• Ensure a safe, engaging, and well-organised before/after school service.
