Job summary

Sanderson is seeking a Programme Executive to lead development of building energy performance methodologies for residential and commercial buildings across Ireland. The role involves creating, maintaining and refining modelling frameworks, and liaising with government stakeholders to support policy evolution.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in building energy modelling, strong analytical skills and experience with EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder or IES.

Qualifications

• A degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Building Services, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics or related discipline.
• At least 3 years' experience in building energy modelling or related field.
• Strong knowledge of building energy assessment methodologies and standards.
• Experience with DEAP, NEAP or similar energy modelling frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of building energy performance calculation methodologies for domestic and non-domestic buildings.
• Analyse technical proposals and provide recommendations on energy standards and methodology changes.
• Develop and maintain calculation tools and models (including Excel-based solutions).
• Prepare technical specifications, guidance documents and testing scenarios.
• Conduct QA, impact assessments and sensitivity analyses of methodology updates.
• Contribute to stakeholder consultations and programme delivery activities.
