Lex Consultancy Recruitment seeks a Programme Executive to join the Building Energy Performance Methodologies team in Dublin. You will support development, implementation and maintenance of energy performance methodologies for domestic and non-domestic buildings.

The role involves contributing to DEAP/NEAP, expanding Ireland’s EPBD methodologies, and reporting to the Programme Manager. 18-month contract in Dublin 2 with strong communication and technical skills.

Formación

• A NFQ Level 8+ degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ direct experience in building performance design, modelling, certification, or energy consultancy.
• Knowledge of DEAP and NEAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including report writing and public speaking.
• Non-domestic BER Assessor certification.
• A good understanding of building energy systems.
• A good understanding of Python.
• Experience with EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, IES, or similar.
• Proficiency in the Irish language.
• Experience delivering positive customer experiences.

Programme Executive - Building Energy Performance Methodologies

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Building Energy Rating (BER) Calculation Methodology team within the Technical Department of an Public Sector Body.

The successful candidate will report to the Programme Manager of BER Calculation Methodology and will support the development, implementation and maintenance of energy performance calculation methodologies for domestic and non-domestic buildings. This will include supporting DEAP and NEAP, as well as contributing to the wider development and expansion of Ireland’s EPBD calculation methodologies.

Annual leave: 29 days

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• A degree (a minimum of NFQ Level 8 or greater) in a relevant technical or operational discipline such as Architecture, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Building Services, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics or other fields relevant to building energy modelling and methodologies.
• A minimum of 3 years’ directly relevant experience working in building performance design or modelling or certification or in sustainability / energy consultancy.
• Knowledge or experience of building energy modelling and standards including a working knowledge of DEAP and NEAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presenting, public speaking and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Non-domestic BER Assessor certified.
• A good understanding of building energy systems.
• A good understanding of Python.
• Knowledge or experience with energy modelling programmes such as: EnergyPlus, Designbuilder, IES, etc.
• Proficiency in the Irish Language.
• Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.
