Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is seeking a Programme Executive for the BER Calculation team in Ireland. This 18-month contract offers an opportunity to develop and implement building energy performance calculation methodologies for both domestic and non-domestic buildings.

You will analyse proposals from government departments, develop Excel-based tools, prepare specifications, and conduct QA, sensitivity analyses, and impact assessments. 3+ years' experience and a Level 8 qualification are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in building performance design/modelling or certification.
• Level 8 technical qualification relevant to building energy modelling and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement building energy performance calculation methodologies for domestic and non-domestic buildings.
• Provide technical analysis for government proposals and other stakeholders.
• Develop, test and maintain calculation arrangements including Excel-based tools.
• Prepare technical specifications, calculation rules, test cases and other documents supporting methodology/software changes.
• Quality assurance, sensitivity analysis, and impact assessments of proposed changes.
• Any other relevant duties as required.

Our client is a leading member of the Irish sustainable energy sector who are hiring a Programme Executive to join their BER Calculation team. This job would be a great opportunity for someone with experience monitoring and analysing building energy performance who wants to join a leading organisation promoting energy sustainability in Ireland. Please note that this is an 18-month contract with strong prospect for extension.

About the Position

• As BER Calculation Programme Executive, your job will be to develop and implement building energy performance calculation methodologies for both domestic and non-domestic buildings.

• Develop, test and maintain calculation arrangements including Excel-based tools.

Experience/Requirements

• For this BER Calculation Programme Executive job, you will have 3+ years’ experience in building performance design/modelling or certification, or experience in a sustainability/energy consultancy.
• You will also have at least a level 8 technical qualification relevant to building energy modelling and methodologies.
