Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) in Limerick is seeking a Programme Assistant/Driver for a full-time permanent position. You will transport members daily, lead in delivering centre-based programmes, and work closely with staff to support activation and personal development initiatives.

The role requires QQI Level 5 HealthCare Support or related, a full Category B driving licence (and willingness to learn bus driving), and strong health and safety awareness. Salary €33,621–€37,425 DOE.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in HealthCare Support (essential).
• QQI Major Awards relevant to IWA include Community Health Services and Health Service Skills.
• Full Category B driving licence; willingness to learn to drive IWA buses (essential).
• Experience with databases and Microsoft Office (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of programme activities within the Community Centre.
• Liaise with local colleges to implement new programmes.
• Support fundraising initiatives and perform administrative duties.
• Encourage member involvement in developmental and activation programmes.
• Transport participants to and from the Centre and other activities.
