The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) in Portlaoise invites applications for the part-time but permanent Programme Assistant – Driver role. The position focuses on safe transport for members to and from the Community Centre and delivering activities alongside transport duties and programme delivery.

The role requires driving capability, QQI Level 5 HealthCare Support, and good English communication. Benefits include 25 days leave pro rata, pension access, and health plans; 20 hours per week

Qualificações

• Full QQI level 5 in HealthCare Support or similar qualification is essential.
• Experience with Health Service Skills and Care Skills preferred.
• Category D driving licence is highly desirable; B licence essential.

Responsabilidades

• Lead programme activities within the Community Centre as directed.
• Transport participants to and from the Centre daily.
• Support fundraising initiatives and administrative duties.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times.
• Mentor staff and volunteers in programme activities and transport safety.
