Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association is inviting applications for a permanent, part-time Programme Assistant Driver role in Navan. You will lead personal and activation programmes and be responsible for safe transport of members to the Community Centre and related activities.

The role requires a full driving license, QQI Level 5 in HealthCare Support, and experience with databases and MS Office. You will work with staff and volunteers to promote inclusion and safety.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 HealthCare Support is essential.
• Full driving license required; willingness to learn to drive IWA buses.
• Experience with databases and Microsoft Office is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the implementation of programme activities within the Community Centre.
• Transport participants to and from the Centre daily and to related activities.
• Record and report hazards or incidents; ensure health and safety standards are followed.
• Mentor staff and volunteers in programme activities and transport safety.
• Maintain and manage buses and transport equipment.
