Irish Wheelchair Association seeks a Programme Assistant – Driver for Cork City to transport members and lead community activities. You will deliver daily programmes, assist with personal care where needed, and maintain transport safety and vehicle standards.

The role requires a QQI Level 5 in HealthCare Support and a Category B licence; D licence is advantageous. The position offers development opportunities and pro-rata leave.

Qualifikationen

• Full QQI Level 5 in HealthCare Support or similar qualification is essential.
• Full category B driving licence is a must and a D licence would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience developing and delivering projects or programmes.
• Experience working with people with disabilities is required.
• Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations, as well as transport safety and standards of use are essential.

Aufgaben

• Lead the implementation of programme activities within the Community Centre.
• Transport participants to and from the Centre daily and to related activities.
• Record and report hazards, accidents or potential incidents to the Service Coordinator/Service Support Officer.
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and arrange maintenance in consultation with the Supervisor.
