Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment's client, a dairy food manufacturer in Ireland's Munster region, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the production floor, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.

You will coordinate schedules, drive continuous improvement, maintain GMP/HACCP standards, train staff, and collaborate with Quality, Maintenance and Planning to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and organise a production team.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy production environment.
• A practical, hands-on approach, with good computer and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise the production team to meet daily targets and KPIs.
• Coordinate production schedules, making effective use of people, equipment and resources.
• Ensure products meet specifications, standard operating procedures and customer requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, GMP, hygiene and compliance with HACCP and Health & Safety procedures.
• Train and support employees, providing clear direction and managing day-to-day performance issues.
• Monitor production performance, resolve operational problems and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Work with Quality, Maintenance and Planning to resolve issues and keep production running smoothly.
