Job summary

Vickerstock is recruiting a Production Manager for a leading Irish food manufacturing site in Co. Leitrim. You will oversee day-to-day production operations, lead multi-line teams and drive safety, quality and efficiency to achieve targets.

You will use Lean principles and CI initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste and costs while collaborating with Maintenance, Quality and Planning teams. Strong leadership and regulatory awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day production operations across the site.
• Plan production requirements in conjunction with Group Sales, Planning and Logistics.
• Manage and monitor key production KPIs including yield, wastage, labour efficiency, downtime and costs.
• Lead, develop and support production teams, including performance management, training and workforce planning.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across the production floor.
• Ensure production meets customer specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with Maintenance to minimise downtime and enable preventative maintenance programmes are maintained.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the site.
• Identify and implement operational improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste and minimise costs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of production employees.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Dispatch, Planning, Logistics and Health & Safety teams.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting on production performance.
• Support wider site and Group initiatives, sharing best practice and driving operational improvements.

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading Irish food manufacturing business to recruit a Production Manager based in Co. Leitrim.

This is a key leadership position within the site, responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations and ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of production targets.

As Production Manager, you will lead the production team across multiple lines, driving performance across safety, quality, output, yield, labour efficiency and operational effectiveness, while working closely with the wider site and group teams.
