Job summary

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in an Engineering, Production or Operations discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a production, manufacturing or operations management role.
• Experience within an FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing environment desirable.
• Experience managing and developing production teams with strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of production planning, bottling processes and line efficiency; HACCP and food-safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day bottling operation, ensuring schedules and customer requirements are met.
• Lead, motivate and support the production team, communicating daily priorities and targets.
• Plan and allocate production resources, including people, materials and equipment, and coordinate changeovers.
• Monitor performance, downtime, waste and efficiency, taking corrective action and reporting KPIs.
• Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, Quality, Procurement and Engineering to maintain standards of quality, hygiene, health & safety.

What you need to know

Our client is a well-established progressive manufacturing company based in Waterford City.

They are now seeking to recruit a Production Manager to manage and co-ordinate production activities across the site, reporting to the General Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and energetic company operating as part of a larger group in Ireland within the progressive FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day bottling operation, ensuring production schedules and customer requirements are achieved.
• Lead, motivate and support the production team, ensuring daily priorities and targets are clearly communicated.
• Plan and allocate production resources, including people, materials and equipment, and coordinate changeovers and line setups.
• Monitor production performance, downtime, waste and efficiency, taking corrective action where required and reporting on KPIs.
• Work closely with Planning, Logistics, Quality, Procurement and Engineering to maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, housekeeping and health & safety.

Requirements:

• Third-level qualification in an Engineering, Production or Operations discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a production, manufacturing or operations management role.
• Experience within an FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing environment is desirable.
