Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a Midlands-based manufacturing company in Ireland, leading assembly, testing and distribution activities. You will report to the General Manager and drive day-to-day operations, lean initiatives and CI.

The role emphasizes people leadership, performance management, and collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field or trades background with 3+ years production management experience.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and CI; SAP or similar ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all day-to-day production & warehouse operations.
• Motivate, develop and manage production teams to meet objectives.
• Ensure production schedules align with customer demand and business needs.
• Monitor KPIs and drive initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency and quality.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing across operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
• Manage workforce planning, training, performance management and development.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and operational excellence.

An established and highly regarded Midlands-based manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join its leadership team. With over 45 years in operation, the business supplies OEM customers across Europe and has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Reporting directly to the GM, you will lead the production function within a modern manufacturing facility focused on assembly, testing, and distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities

As Production Manager you will be responsible for:

• Leading and coordinating all day-to-day production & warehouse operations.
• Managing, motivating, and developing production teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Ensuring production schedules are delivered in line with customer demand and business requirements.
• Monitoring key performance indicators and implementing initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Driving continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing activities across the operation.
• Collaborating closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Managing workforce planning, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Supporting operational excellence initiatives and identifying opportunities for process optimisation.

Candidate Requirements

As Production Manager you will possess:

• You must have a degree qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations etc or a trades background along with 3+ years production mgt experience
• Excellent leadership, people management, and team development skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & C I methodologies and experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
