We are recruiting a Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Little Island, Cork. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing procurement operations while working closely with planning and operations teams, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role also drives data-led decision-making and process automation across procurement.
Manage optimal inventory levels to support production
Monitor reorder points, shelf life, and expiry to prevent shortages or obsolescence
Check materials availability against production demand through close collaboration with planning and operations teams
Resolve procurement-related issues and disputes in a timely manner
Support and participate in production scheduling based on orders and demand
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships
Support S&OP processes and manage the ERP system to advance production planning
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, process improvements and automation
Build and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to track inventory levels and supplier performance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, quality, and other functions
Collaborate with suppliers and external teams
Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in procurement or inventory management
Experience with ERP systems and S&OP processes
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (pivot tables, advanced formulas)
Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate) or similar automation/reporting tools is highly desirable
