The role focuses on negotiating with suppliers, ensuring material availability for production, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support rapid growth in Ireland and Europe.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement or inventory management.
• Experience with ERP systems and S&OP processes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate) or similar automation/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory management and procurement operations.
• Monitor reorder points, shelf life and expiry to prevent shortages or obsolescence.
• Coordinate materials availability with production demand with planning/ops.

About the Role

We are recruiting a Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Little Island, Cork. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing procurement operations while working closely with planning and operations teams, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role also drives data-led decision-making and process automation across procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management (Procurement)

Manage optimal inventory levels to support production

Monitor reorder points, shelf life, and expiry to prevent shortages or obsolescence

Check materials availability against production demand through close collaboration with planning and operations teams

Resolve procurement-related issues and disputes in a timely manner

Support and participate in production scheduling based on orders and demand

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness

Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships

Support S&OP processes and manage the ERP system to advance production planning

Processes, Data & Stakeholder Management

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, process improvements and automation

Build and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to track inventory levels and supplier performance

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, quality, and other functions

Collaborate with suppliers and external teams

Experience & Qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in procurement or inventory management

Experience with ERP systems and S&OP processes

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (pivot tables, advanced formulas)

Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate) or similar automation/reporting tools is highly desirable
