Senior Supply Chain Lead – Job Description

As a successful and rapidly expanding Irish-owned Biopharma Engineering Company based in Cork, we are looking to recruit a Senior Supply Chain Lead. The position is permanent and site-based at our headquarters in Little Island, Cork.

The Role

The Senior Supply Chain Lead will oversee and optimize the entire supply chain process, from procurement and production planning to distribution and delivery. The role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless operations, timely inventory management, and cost‑effective logistics solutions. The Lead will implement strategies to enhance productivity, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry standards, leveraging data analytics and supply‑chain technologies to drive continuous improvement and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply‑chain management or a related field
  • Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, and distribution
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and performance metrics
  • Proficiency with supply‑chain management software and tools
  • Excellent negotiation and contract‑management skills

  • Liaise with other departments, such as production, sales, and finance
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on supply‑chain performance and KPI results
  • Resolve discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or inventory levels promptly

  • Manage the implementation of new supply‑chain initiatives and projects
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers for collaborative partnerships
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a 3rd‑Level qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Information, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply‑chain management.
