Job summary

PTSB in Dublin invites a Procurement Project Specialist to join the Sourcing & Procurement function. The role delivers procurement projects, improvement initiatives and day-to-day operations across Source to Pay, with about 40% dedicated to operational support.

You will work with digital tools, AI and automation to modernise workflows, strengthen controls and ensure governance in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in procurement, project delivery or related change roles.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities (sourcing, onboarding, governance or third‑party risk).
  • Proven ability to modernise/digitise processes with tech to boost efficiency and control.
  • Practical experience using AI/automation in business, with governance and data protection awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, coordination and delivery of procurement projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Provide operational procurement support including P2P admin, supplier onboarding, queries, workflow management, reporting.
  • Provide project support with action tracking, milestones, status reporting and meeting prep.
  • Collaborate with procurement and stakeholders to identify pain points and recommend improvements.
  • Identify AI and automation opportunities that improve effectiveness with governance and policy alignment.

Job description

We are seeking to recruit a Procurement Project Specialist to join the Sourcing & Procurement Function. This role is best suited to a candidate with strong Procure to Pay delivery experience, excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to support process, technology and ways-of-working improvements in a regulated environment.

Your primary function will be to support the delivery of procurement projects, improvement initiatives and change activity across Source to Pay, while also providing meaningful support for day-to-day operational procurement activity. Approximately 40% of the role will be focused on operational support, helping the team maintain effective service delivery, manage procurement workflows, respond to stakeholder requirements and ensure core procurement processes operate efficiently and in line with Bank standards. You will help modernise procurement processes and technology, working with colleagues and business partners to simplify workflows, improve data quality, strengthen controls and identify opportunities to use automation and AI-enabled tools responsibly. Coding experience is not required, but you should be confident engaging with digital tools, emerging technologies and AI use cases in a business environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of procurement projects, transformation initiatives and continuous improvement activity across Source to Pay.
  • Provide operational procurement support including supporting P2P administration, supplier onboarding, contract and purchase order related queries, procurement workflow management, reporting and general stakeholder requests.
  • Provide project support including action tracking, milestone management, status reporting, meeting coordination, issue resolution and preparation of clear project documentation.
  • Work with procurement colleagues and business stakeholders to assess current processes, identify pain points and recommend practical improvements that simplify, standardise and strengthen ways of working.
  • Identify and support appropriate AI & automation opportunities that improve effectiveness, while ensuring responsible use, clear governance and alignment with Bank policies
Requirements
Essential
  • 4+ years' experience in procurement, project delivery, process improvement, transformation, operations or a related business change role.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, including sourcing operational procurement support, supplier onboarding, governance or third-party risk processes.
  • Demonstrable experience helping to improve, modernise or digitise business processes, including use of technology to increase efficiency, control and user experience.
  • Practical experience using AI-enabled tools or automation in a business context, with an understanding of responsible use, data protection, governance and risk considerations. Coding experience is not required.

This is a Permanent (hybrid) position based in St. Stephens Green, Dublin, the Republic of Ireland.
