Job summary
CPI Biotech in Cork is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead procurement operations, optimize inventory and collaborate with planning and operations teams. You will drive data-led decisions and automate processes using Power Platform tools.
The role focuses on negotiating with suppliers, ensuring material availability for production, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support rapid growth in Ireland and Europe.
Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or inventory management.
- Experience with ERP systems and S&OP processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
- Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate) or similar automation/reporting tools.
Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory management and procurement operations.
- Monitor reorder points, shelf life and expiry to prevent shortages or obsolescence.
- Coordinate materials availability with production demand with planning/ops.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Support S&OP processes and manage the ERP system to advance production planning.
