Job summary

Dell Technologies in Cork, Ireland seeks a Principal Systems Development Engineer to analyze and resolve complex product defects across the Enterprise PowerEdge Server and AI portfolio. You will work with Technical Support, Engineering, Quality, and partners to improve product quality and customer experience.

You will investigate hardware, software, and networking failures, lead global resolutions, and document findings to drive continuous improvement. Some travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science plus 6 months experience with datacenter servers, networking, or storage.
• Occasional travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Investigate hardware, software, and networking failures across AI solutions and PowerEdge Server platforms in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Support teams.
• Lead and drive resolution of complex technical issues with global Technical Support teams, technology partners, and customers.
• Represent the voice of the customer in engineering corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Characterize, validate, and identify field-reported defects while working closely with developers, vendors, and partners.
• Document technical findings, resolution strategies, and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and product improvement.
