Job summary

IC Resources is supporting a rapidly expanding space communications company in Ireland with Cork and Galway offices. We seek a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer to drive end-to-end projects, design and verify high-speed analog circuits, and mentor a growing team.

Required: MSc/PhD in Electronics Engineering, 10+ years in analog IC design with tape-outs in CMOS/BiCMOS. Desirable: high-speed analog experience, strong problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in analog IC design with tape-outs in advanced CMOS or BiCMOS processes.
• Experience designing high-speed analog circuits is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.

Job description

Join a rapidly expanding technology company working in the field of space communications as a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer.

Based in Ireland, with offices in Cork and Galway, our client is developing laser-based communication systems for satellites. For their growing team they are seeking a highly experienced Analog IC Design Engineer, someone capable of driving end-to-end projects and mentoring the team.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including engineers from NASA, the Principal Analog IC Designer will design and verify a wide range of analog circuits for high-speed and photonic ICs. The team is set to more than double in size this year, and so offers great opportunities to develop your leadership skills.

Requirements include

• A BSc / MSc or PhD in Electronics Engineering or related field
• 10+ years’ of experience in analog IC design, with a track record of successful tape-outs in advanced node CMOS or BiCMOS processes
• Proven experience designing high-speed analog circuits (this would be ideal, however not an absolute essential)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset
• A flexible, motivated mindset, and be comfortable working within a rapidly changing environment
