Job summary

Dell Technologies in Ireland is seeking a Technical Support Engineer – Dell Compute (PowerEdge & Modular) to join our Compute Technical Support team. You will be the first point of contact for business customers, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across PowerEdge platforms.

Responsibilities include remote troubleshooting, using Dell diagnostic tools, case management within SLA, and coordinating parts dispatch with field engineers.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of server hardware architecture.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Dell PowerEdge and Modular servers via phone, chat, and remote sessions.
• Use Dell diagnostic tools (iDRAC, Lifecycle Controller, OpenManage Enterprise) to identify root cause and drive resolution.
• Manage case workload and ensure customer interactions are documented and resolved within SLA commitments.
• Coordinate parts dispatch and field engineers when on-site hardware replacement is required.
• Collaborate with escalation teams (L2/L3) and cross-functional groups to resolve complex issues and contribute to knowledge base.
