Job summary

Dell Technologies in Ireland seeks a Technical Support Engineer for Dell Compute | PowerEdge & Modular (B2B) to support enterprise-class server platforms. You will diagnose hardware and software issues, perform remote troubleshooting, and manage cases end-to-end within SLA commitments.

The role requires strong communication for business customers and collaboration with L2/L3 engineering teams. Experience with PowerEdge platforms and Dell diagnostic tools is preferred; open to qualified

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of server hardware architecture (processors, memory, drives, RAID, power, cooling).
• Windows Server and Linux OS knowledge (RHEL/SLES/Ubuntu).
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NICs) for server connectivity and management interfaces.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills with methodical problem solving.
• Excellent communication and customer service for B2B enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across PowerEdge Rack/Tower and Modular platforms for enterprise B2B customers.
• Use Dell diagnostic tools (iDRAC, Lifecycle Controller, OpenManage) to identify root causes and drive resolution.
• Manage case workload and ensure documentation and SLA compliance.
• Coordinate parts dispatch and field engineers when on-site repair is needed.
• Collaborate with escalation teams (L2/L3) and contribute to knowledge base documentation.
