Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Group Estimating Manager to lead our Power & Renewables estimating function, driving commercial excellence across complex tenders. You will shape estimating strategies, mentor a high‑performing team, and work with senior leadership to deliver winning outcomes.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure robust estimates, data integrity, and competitive bids across international projects.

Qualifications

• Significant estimating leadership experience in Power, Renewables, Utilities, or related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the estimating function across Power & Renewables projects.
• Driving excellence throughout tendering and bid management.
• Managing tender adjudications and supporting key commercial decision-making.
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of estimators.
• Working with Business Unit Managers, Associate Directors, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams on tender submissions.
• Building and maintaining estimating systems, procedures, and best practices.
• Developing and maintaining cost databases, benchmarking data, and project performance statistics.
• Managing project estimate registers and supporting win/loss analysis.
• Representing Kirby during client meetings and pre-construction engagements.
• Contributing to innovative estimating processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, competitiveness.
• Ensuring estimating activities align with company standards, governance, and information security.
