Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying or similar.
• 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry, with 2+ years in a Senior Electrical Estimator role.
• Experience in Power and Renewables sectors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint & Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage, develop & retain a large team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and manage many priorities.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent record-keeping and administration skills.
• Analytical problem-solving and decisive actions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates by compiling takeoffs from the scope of work and entering into estimating system.
• Read Electrical Technical Specifications and Employers Requirements for Design & Build HV substations and windfarms.
• Manage tendering process with departments and timely submission of tender.
• Assist in compiling the Technical Submission of inclusions, exclusions, and programme of works.
• Manage quotation request process and review quotations for completeness.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Identify risks and propose solutions for the bid team.
• Follow up on submitted tenders and document feedback.
• Attend post-tender meetings.
• Explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes and build aspects to Construction Team at handover.
