Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in Ireland is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead estimation services for design and build HV substations and windfarms, delivering world-class estimates.

You will manage tender interfaces, compile technical submissions, and mentor a large team while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with employers' requirements.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in the construction industry with 2+ years in a Senior Estimator role.
• Experience in Power and Renewables.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage a team.
• Analytical thinker with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from the scope of work and enter into the estimating system.
• Read electrical specifications and Employer Requirements for HV substations and windfarms.
• Manage tender interfaces with departments and ensure timely submissions.
• Assist in compiling the technical submission of inclusions, exclusions and program of works.
• Review quotations for completeness and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Attend post-tender meetings and support project handover with the Construction Team.
