Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead estimation services and drive world-class outcomes. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver accurate, timely estimates across projects in pharmaceuticals, data centres and power sectors.

You will manage tenders, read technical specs, and coordinate submissions while developing your leadership and technical skills within Kirby's growth culture. An excellent remuneration package is on offer.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
• 5+ years’ construction industry experience, incl. 2 years in a Senior Estimator role.
• Experience tendering projects above €10 million in pharma, industrial, data centre or commercial sectors.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to lead, multi-task and manage large teams.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from scope of work using the estimating system.
• Read Electrical Specifications and Employer Requirements for HV substations and windfarms.
• Coordinate tender processes with departments and submit tenders on time.
• Assist in compiling technical submissions, inclusions, exclusions, and program of works.
• Manage quotation requests and review quotations for completeness.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Identify risks and advise bid team on mitigations.
• Attend post-tender meetings.
• Explain estimate, scope, quotes at project handover with Construction Team.
