Job summary

Eaton Ireland is seeking a Business Development Manager – Power Distribution to drive specification-led growth across low- and medium-voltage portfolios for commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure sectors.

You will build relationships with engineers, consultants and contractors, influence specifications, manage opportunities in Salesforce, and collaborate with internal teams to position Eaton as a trusted partner for safe, reliable electrical infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in low voltage power distribution equipment (switchgear, switchboards, circuit protection).
• Minimum 3 years in electrical industry sales with technical/project focus.
• Proven ability to work with contractors, panel builders or consultants.
• Strong commercial awareness to identify and convert opportunities.
• Exposure to medium voltage solutions.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with electrical engineers, building services consultants, design practices, end users, contractors to influence Eaton specifications across the portfolio.
• Identify early-stage project opportunities across Ireland and manage pipeline in Salesforce; develop territory plans.
• Provide technical guidance on power distribution, standards, energy efficiency and CPD sessions.
• Defend specifications during tender/procurement; communicate Eaton value in safety, reliability, sustainability.
• Collaborate with project sales engineers, marketing, product management and channel partners; ensure smooth handover of projects; maintain Salesforce data.
