Talbot Hotel Wexford, part of the Talbot Collection, is hiring a part-time Porter to oversee the day-to-day porter activities on-site in Wexford. The Porter will report to the Operations Manager and support meeting room setup, guest requests, and staff cooperation.

The ideal candidate must be computer literate, reliable, well-organised and a pro-active team player. Previous hotel experience, including bar or reception work, is desirable, with shifts including weekends.

Aufgaben

• Oversee day-to-day porter activities.
• Set up, break down and reset meeting rooms according to function sheets.
• Liaise with sales coordinators and front office regarding client requirements.
• Serve refreshments as per meeting room requirements.
• Ensure correct equipment is available for meetings.
• Set up and deliver room service requests when required.
• Deliver messages to guest rooms as requested by front office.
• Handle internal and external enquiries.
• Assist in cleaning of public areas and function/meeting rooms.
• Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
• Clean public areas.

Talbot Hotel Wexford, part of the Talbot Collection, are currently recruiting for a Porter to join our team. This is a part-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Porter activities of the hotel. The Porter will report to the Operations Manager.

Main Duties to include:

• To ensure the meeting rooms are properly set up, broken down and reset according to the weekly function sheets.
• To liaise with sales coordinators and front office regarding all aspects of client’s requirements.
• To serve refreshments as per meeting room requirements.
• To ensure that the correct equipment is available for all meetings.
• To set up and deliver room service requests when required.
• To deliver messages etc.to guest’s rooms as requested by front office.
• To deal with internal and external enquiries.
• To assist in the cleanliness of all public areas and function/meeting rooms.
• Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
• Cleaning of public areas.

Previous experience of a similar role in a hotel would be essential. Previous bar experience/reception experience is desired.

Must be flexible as the role involves shift work and weekend working.
