Talbot Hotel Wexford is seeking a Night Porter to join our team on a part-time basis. You will oversee night porter activities, assist with late check-ins, early check-outs, and maintain a high standard of customer service.

The role requires flexibility for shift work and weekends, with prior hotel or bar/reception experience preferred. The ideal candidate is computer literate, reliable, well organised and a team player with strong English language skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel setting preferred or similar customer-facing role.
• Pro-active, reliable and well organized with good communication.
• Fluent English written and spoken is essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

Talbot Hotel Wexford, part of the Talbot Collection, are currently recruiting for a Night Porter to join our team. This is a part-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Night Porter activities of the hotel. The Night Porter will report to the Night Manager.

Main Duties to include:

• Turn around and setting up meeting rooms and function rooms for the day ahead.
• Assist with reception, late check in and early check outs.
• Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
• Cleaning of public areas.
• Carry out security walks.
• Good command of the English Language both written & verbal is essential.
• Opening the Carpark.
• Assist residents and provide a high level of customer service at all times.

The ideal candidate must be:

• Computer literate, be reliable and be well organised.
• Be pro-active and be a team player.
• Good command of the English Language both written & verbal is essential.

Previous experience of a similar role in a hotel would be essential. Previous bar experience/reception experience is desired.

Must be flexible as the role involves shift work and weekend working.
