Job summary

Talbot Hotel Clonmel is seeking an experienced Porter to join our growing team. This role focuses on delivering a warm, personalised welcome to guests and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.

As a valued ambassador of the Talbot Collection, you will support front desk operations, maintain high hygiene standards, and contribute to a four-star guest experience through attentive service, professional appearance, and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

Ideally 1+ years' experience in a similar role.
Excellent command of the English language.

Responsibilities

To arrive for work on time and in proper uniform.
To adhere to company's Clocking Procedure.
To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
To liaise with front office regarding all aspects of client's requirements
To set up and deliver room service requests when required
Assist other departments as and when required and according to company standards.
Follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations.
Oversee the general upkeep of public & staff areas
To anticipate guest needs at all times
To upsell the Company products and services where possible
Any other sundry task not mentioned but within the scope of the job
To familiarize yourself with and adhere to SOPs and company policies.
To report customer comments to Management.
To maintain energy efficiency within the Hotel.
