Job summary

Talbot Hotel Wexford is seeking Bar Personnel to join our team. This part-time role reports to the Bar Manager. You will provide friendly and efficient bar service, dispense orders accurately, and uphold our high standards of hospitality.

Training is provided and flexibility for weekend shifts is required. Talbot Collection recognitions and benefits accompany being part of a leading hospitality group.

Qualifications

Fluent English essential (written and spoken).
Friendly and professional work attitude.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Previous experience not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

Arrive on time and in proper uniform.
Maintain high personal hygiene and grooming standards.
Keep bar area clean at all times.
Ensure accuracy of floats and report irregularities.
Dispense and serve drinks and food efficiently.
Be aware of daily menu items and drink services.
Maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the bar.
Adhere to 4 Star standards and customer relations policy.
Safeguard company money, goods and assets.
Be familiar with licensing laws and excise requirements.
Stock shelves properly and rotate stock.

Talbot Hotel Wexford, part of the Talbot Collection, are currently recruiting for Bar Personnel to join our team. This is a part-time position. The Bar Personnel will report to the Bar Manager.

Overall Job Purpose:

To provide a friendly and efficient service within the bar, dispensing orders accurately and with courtesy to the standards required by the company.

Main Duties:

To arrive for work on time and in proper uniform;
To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming;
To ensure that the bar area is kept clean at all times;
To ensure the accuracy of all floats by checking them and reporting irregularities;
Responsible for the efficient dispensing and serving of drinks and food when required;
To be aware of menu items of the day and drink services;
To ensure a welcoming atmosphere is maintained in the bar at all times;
To carry out our customer relations policy ensuring that we maintain 4 Star standards at all times;
To ensure that necessary steps are taken to safeguard Company money, goods and assets;
To be familiar with licensing laws and excise requirements;
To ensure all drinks are issued using appropriate measures, procedures, and correct glassware;
Responsible for the stocking of shelves to appropriate levels, observing proper stock rotation, and the stocking of glassware;
To assist in the clearing of bottles, glasses, tables and washing same.
