Job summary

Shareridge in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, is seeking a Planner to join an experienced civil engineering team on nationwide projects.

This full-time role reports to the Pre-Construction and Planning Manager and focuses on program planning, analysis and updates. The successful candidate will create and maintain project programmes using MS Project, coordinate with project teams, monitor progress weekly and prepare reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A third level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years' experience in a Civils Contracting environment is advantageous.
• Strong and accurate record keeping abilities.
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of planning software including MS Project.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Creating, maintaining and reviewing a programme of work, utilising MS Project.
• Liaising with project teams to review and update current programmes.
• Proactively monitoring progress on a weekly basis.
• Working in an organised system to deliver outputs within stringent timelines.
• Producing progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients and stakeholders.
• Using project management tools to plan timeframes.
• Assisting in the planning of contingency programmes in case timeframes change.
• Provide detailed support and assistance to the Pre-Construction and Planning Manager as needed.
