Job summary

Shareridge Ltd, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, invites applications for a full-time Planner based at the Head Office. You will join an experienced civil engineering team, supporting Pre-Construction and Planning Manager with programme planning, analysis and updates.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in Civils Contracting, strong IT and MS Project skills, and excellent organisational abilities. A dynamic, fast-paced environment offers career growth within Ireland’s expanding engineering group.

Qualifications

• A third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–3 years experience in a Civils Contracting environment advantageous.
• Strong and accurate record keeping abilities.
• Excellent IT skills and planning software knowledge including MS Project.
• Ability to problem solve and prioritise work effectively.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Creating, maintaining and reviewing a programme of work, utilising MS Project.
• Liaising with project teams to review and update current programmes.
• Proactively monitoring progress on a weekly basis.
• Working in an organised system to deliver outputs within stringent timelines.
• Producing progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients and stakeholders.
• Using project management tools to plan timeframes.
• Assisting in the planning of contingency programmes in case timeframes change.
• Provide detailed support and assistance to the Pre-Construction and Planning Manager as needed.
