Job summary

Tony Walsh Allcare Pharmacy in Merrion is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 40-hour work week on a permanent basis. The role involves accurately dispensing medicines under the supervision of the Pharmacist, maintaining stock levels, and supporting the dispensary team.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply; experience in a busy dispensary is an advantage, as is familiarity with McLernons MPS. Uniform is provided, and the store offers a bike-to-work scheme and colleague discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is advantageous.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate is advantageous.
• Familiarity with McLernons MPS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• Prepare and dispense medicines under supervision of Pharmacist.
• Control stock levels and order medicines as required.
• Prepare blister packs and process and track claims.
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in Tony Walsh Allcare Pharmacy, in Merrion This is a 40-hour permanent position with the stores opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. The team currently comprises a Store Manager,1 Relief Pharmacist, 1 Technician and 5 Healthcare Advisors. This store has manageable items and services.

The responsibilities of the role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
