Job summary

Uniphar Allcare in Limerick City is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a 32-hour, four-day week in our busy dispensing team, reporting to the Pharmacist.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome; experience in a busy dispensary and familiarity with McLernons MPS are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Allcare O'Malleys store in Limerick City.

This is a 32-hour (4-day) specified purpose position with the store's opening hours operating between 8.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9.30a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sunday. The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, 1 Relief, and 3 Technicians.
