Job summary

Uniphar Group in Tralee is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join McCauley Tralee Pharmacy. This is a 40-hour, five-day permanent role with store hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

You will dispense medicines under supervision, manage stock levels, prepare blister packs, and support the Pharmacist in a fast-paced dispensary environment. Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is advantageous, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS is advantageous.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our McCauley Tralee Pharmacy.

This is a 40-hour (5-day) permanent position with the store’s opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9a.m. to6p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.on Sunday.

The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, 1 Support, 1 Relief, and 4 Technicians.

The responsibilities of the role
