Job summary

Uniphar Allcare Blanchardstown Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 40-hour, five-day week in a busy dispensary environment. You will dispense under supervision, maintain stock, prepare blister packs and support the Pharmacist with daily duties.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome; experience with McLernons MPS is an advantage, as are the IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate. Competitive hourly rates and uniform provided, with bike-to-work scheme included.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Allcare Blanchardstown Pharmacy. This is a 40-hour (5-day) permanent position. The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, 1 Relief, and 2 Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply. Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage). IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage. Uniphar.
