Job summary

A prominent pharmacy group in Celbridge seeks a Pharmacy Technician for a permanent 40-hour role. This position involves preparing and dispensing medicinal products, controlling stock levels, and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary. Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply. Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is preferred but not required for newly qualified technicians.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Allcare store, Blakes, in Cellbridge. This is a 40‑hour (5‑day) permanent position with the store's opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The team currently comprises a 1 Retail Store Manager, a Support Pharmacist, a Relief Pharmacist, 1 Technician and 2 Healthcare Advisors.

The Responsibilities Of The Role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage.
