Job summary

McCauley in Clonmel currently seeks a Relief Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This is a 40-hour permanent role with stores operating 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Monday to Saturday, with reduced hours on Sunday. You will work under the supervision of our Pharmacist and support the team in dispensing medicines and handling stock. Experience in a busy dispensary is an advantage, and newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage.
• Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medicinal products under supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and order medicines as required.
• Prepare blister packs and process/track claims.
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Clonmel-based stores.

This is a 40-hour permanent position with the stores opening hours operating between 9a.m. to 6p.m. Monday to Saturday and reduced hours on Sunday.

The team currently comprises a Supervising Pharmacist, a Retail Store Manager, Relief Pharmacists, Technicians, and Sales Assistants.

This store has manageable items and services.

The Responsibilities Of The Role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
