Job summary

The Galway Clinic invites applications for a Stores, Supplies & Billing role within its Pharmacy Stores team. This full-time, permanent post supports efficient patient service through goods receipt, stock control, and supplier liaison.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years in hospital stores, strong organisational and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of inventory control and supplier management. The role requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in Stores, Supplies & Billing, ideally in a hospital/medical environment.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control & supplier management.
• Demonstrate the initiative, drive and enthusiasm to carry out the role successfully.
• Ability to build effective working relationships and work professionally with patients, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries into pharmacy Stores and issue Goods Receipt Notes.
• Liaise with wholesalers for items missed, delivered or priced incorrectly.
• Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and update Pharmacy Inventory.
• Handle related queries from Finance Department.
• Stock Management and monitoring stock levels/movements.
• Manage scanning of goods per Falsified Medicines Directive.
• Assist in developing a proactive customer service approach.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Pharmacist.

This is a permanent post working 37 hours per week.

The Role:

• Receipt of deliveries into pharmacy Stores including goods inspection and issuing of Goods Receipt Notes.
• Liaise with wholesalers to deal with items omitted, delivered or priced incorrectly.
• Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and update Pharmacy Inventory.
• Handle any related queries from Finance Department.
• Stock Management.
• Work with Pharmacy staff to ensure efficient use of stocks by monitoring stock levels and stock movements.
• Manage scanning of goods in accordance with Falsified Medicines Directive to monitor integrity of supply chain.
• Assist in developing a proactive and focused customer service approach.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Pharmacist.

The Candidate:

• Two years experience in Stores, Supplies & Billing, ideally in a hospital/medical environment.
