Job summary

CPL Healthcare is partnering with a client to recruit a Person in Charge for a new children’s residential service in Ireland. You will lead the service, ensuring safe, therapeutic, and child-centred care in line with HIQA and Tusla regulations.

The role requires strong leadership and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people. The successful candidate will drive service development, governance, and quality improvement while building a positive, multidisciplinary team culture

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working within children’s residential services
• Strong knowledge of Tusla regulations, HIQA standards, and national standards for children’s residential care
• Previous management or leadership experience within a social care setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and child-centred practice
• Full clean driving licence

The Role

The Person in Charge will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the residential service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in line with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.

The successful candidate will provide leadership to staff teams, promote a positive and child-centred culture, and ensure compliance with HIQA standards, Tusla requirements, and national regulations governing children’s residential services.

This role will suit an experienced and motivated leader who is comfortable working within a developing organisation and contributing to service growth and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements
