Job summary

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Person in Charge (PIC) to lead a children's care service in Ireland. You will oversee delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support a multidisciplinary team while ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Social Care, Social Work, Nursing or related discipline.
• Experience in senior management or leadership in children’s residential care or similar setting.
• Strong safeguarding, care planning and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary care teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisation skills.
• Full driving licence and access to own transport; able to work in Ireland; Garda vetting and references.

Medforce are currently recruiting for a Person in Charge (PIC) to join an established children's care service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to take on a senior leadership role, overseeing the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and supporting a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide overall leadership and management of the service.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and person-centred care.
• Lead, support and develop a team of care and social care professionals.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies and standards.
• Oversee care planning, risk management and safeguarding procedures.
• Work closely with children, young people, families and relevant professionals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a senior management or leadership position within children's residential care, disability services or a similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing and developing a multidisciplinary or care team.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed approaches.
• Ability to work effectively with children, young people, families and external professionals.
• Full driving licence and access to own transport.
• Right to work in Ireland.
• Garda vetting and satisfactory references.
